Reflective Journal 

In the presentation, my group explained the newsletter of LEONE Designers. Firstly, Inah discussed our research and separate idea. Next presentation, I explained how we summarised our idea and introduce a final piece. Finally, Iris showed and explained the development of our idea.

Clearly, we decided the logo must stay on the top of the newsletter and a text introduce the boutique would stay under the logo. Likewise, we designed a hat stay on the right-bottom which just use 3/4 part of the hat because that idea from Iris's design. We designed the newsletter with a black background because black background would make the newsletter more luxury. Thus, the logo and text were white. Moreover, we used Inah's idea to create a frame around the newsletter. Besides, we put more products into the newsletter because we would like to introduce more products to customers which did not only one such as the hat. We put many products around the frame and the address on the bottom newsletter so we designed social media near the address. Although we designed both sides for newsletter in the first idea which had one was introduced the boutique and one was timetable and address, we realised one side was suitable to promotion by email and website.

Additionally, we tried to develop group idea with similar the style such as black background, hat and many objects. The colour and location of social media had changed with the address.

We got feedback after the presentation from our tutor. They showed us the strengths and weaknesses in a group and each person. We had a different choice in the piece so that was a weakness in our group. I though we need more meeting face to face to explain individual idea and decision but we had a limit time for this project. Therefore, if we have more time to develop this newsletter, it will better and satisfied investor's demand.

In conclusion, I realised our group had hardworking but sometimes we kept individual idea so that was a reason to make group idea cannot develop. I think if we work in a group we need to think out of the box and try to look another view. Sharing and complexing are a good way to enhance an idea and solve the problem during the process.

Individual idea - Newsletters

Initial idea 1:

In the first idea, I wanted to design a newsletter which will introduce the boutique so I put their logo on the top.

Next, I used the facade to create a centre point on the newsletter because I think their customers can overview the shop and products. I got this idea from newsletter's other websites which usually show their products or news or promotion. Thus, I put the details around the main point that was outside view of the boutique.

After that, I tried to go LEONE's facebook and I got the idea about text which is Future Workshop and Pop Up Boutique. I realised that words described the work in this shop so I put the word " Pop up Boutique" in the bottom and " Future Workshop" on the top which near the logo. I tried to design a simple newsletter in first time because that was initial idea.

Finally, I wrote some key word to explain the aim of boutique. The designers in this boutique will help their clients make some products which follow to client's demand.

I used a similar way to design second initial idea which had the logo on the top of newsletter. Likewise, I created a background with monochrome which was black and white but I changed the tone from the bottom to the top.

Next, I put the necklace and material under the logo. Moreover, I used the sewing machine to create a background which will show the method a designer using to make it.

I think on each person has an artist so I used the word " Awake Self-artist" to create an interesting thing which mean the boutique will help clients design and make a product for themselves.

This design has different from two ideas before because I put the logo in the centre of the newsletter.
I used a part of logo to create a balance in the newsletter which has one on the top-right and one on the left-bottom. Likewise, I changed the background to black and the logo became white. Following, I drew two line for each haft circle which will look similar a picture during capture.

Finally, I put the image into the part of half-circle and the word on the line. I did not put the address and business social media in this newsletter because that is initial idea. I must summarise all of ideas from my partners and complete it with group idea and information.

Reflective Journal - Website design

My initial idea was to make an architectural website because it showed my career and goal. However, that was a portfolio which would be a luggage or a book to show my projects and experiences. I think that will give me many benefits before I'm doing Master course.

I summarised my research other websites and books which help me to create an architectural website. Likewise, I used some software such as Photoshop to design images I using in my website which had high quality.

Social Media gave me more research about the picture and resolve image so I created an account on Pinterest and Google Plus which help me show and follow some products.

I had a presentation about my website design. I summarised and focused on the main design in my presentation which includes Planning, Content, Design, Navigation, Design Development, Social Media and Reflection. That was a hook information to give to audience and viewer who will easy understand what project and design I did.

In my opinion, I will use and update my website in the future because that is similar my CV. If I use this website during Master course, I will add a new stage in the menu bar such as Master Project.

I got the feedback after my presentation which showed me the strengths and weaknesses of my design such as I don't need to show my address on the website because that will safer if I delete. Moreover, I need to show more details about research and method during the process a website on the presentation. From my point of view, when I designed the website, I had been some influence from my culture such as I always show the result and forgot to discuss the method to development. Therefore, I will not only learn knowledge but also the culture in the UK.

After I got some feedback from my tutors and friends, I have changed some design in my website such as the site of text. Clearly, I put the word " Dante's Portfolio" in the centre on my website because that is a title of my website. Besides, Live in Innovation is a tagline for the website which shows my career and what I can do so that would smaller than the title.

In the timeline experience, I changed the order of time such as month and year  which would easy to read and understand.

Likewise, I added the title to the timeline experience which was Previous Project Experience. The title will divide the part in the homepage and viewer can clearly understand.

Moreover, I changed and enhanced the quality of image using on each project. I used Photoshop to redesign the background and light on the pictures.
